Words matter. More than you think. The words that we speak have power. This power either strengthens us or weakens us. We have the power to choose the words we will use.
Think about different people you listen to. Listen to legendary leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. or Nelson Mandela. Their words bring strength.
On the flip side, listen to your Aunt Edna who complains about her bunions or back and notice her words. They suck the living daylights out of you right?
The bottom line is that words can uplift and words can destroy. And that includes the words you speak over yourself. The words you use affect your energy, physiology and outlook on life.
You can use the word “problem” or “issue” or you can reframe your outlook and call it a “challenge”. Even better call it an opportunity to grow or get better.
Japanese reasercher Dr. Masaru Emoto had a ground breaking discovery surrounding words and water. He exposed pure water first to positive words. Then they flash froze the water and photographed it.
What resulted was the positive words caused the water to form beautiful crystals. When the same water was subjected to negative words it formed ugly distorted images.
You can read more about his work here.
The energy surrounding the words we use creates either beauty or disorganization and chaos. What will you create with your words?
